Maged, a seasoned civil engineer and visionary entrepreneur, has left a permanent mark on the construction industry in the Egyptian and African market. With over 27 years of dedicated experience, Chairing over 20 companies, he has become a renowned specialist in value engineering and business strategy.
Notably, Maged co-founded and served as the CEO of Wadi Degla from 2002 to 2019. While leading Wadi Degla, he oversaw an impressive construction portfolio that included residential, commercial and industrial projects across all of Egypt.
In addition to his work at Wadi Degla, he made a significant impact on the Egyptian real estate landscape through his personal real estate developments in the heart of Maadi, Cairo. These projects have left an indelible mark on the district, reflecting his commitment to transforming spaces into vibrant and thriving communities.

Her educational journey took her to the United Kingdom, where she pursued both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Environmental Design, gaining a strong foundation in sustainable principles.
Upon returning to Egypt, Mariam channeled her passion and knowledge into her entrepreneurial endeavors. She quickly made her mark as a sustainability consultant for reputable companies, including Karm Solar and Sigma Properties, where she played a pivotal role in developing sustainable strategies and solutions.
Mariam's global perspective expanded when she joined Hodkinson Consultancy in London, UK. In this role as a Building Performance and Simulation Specialist, she tackled critical challenges such as overheating mitigation, thermal comfort optimization, and internal daylight enhancement. Her expertise in building modeling proved instrumental in assisting clients in achieving prestigious sustainability certifications like LEED, BREEAM, WELL, and EdgeBuildings.
Notably, during her time at Hodkinson Consultancy, Mariam had the privilege of collaborating with some of the UK's largest and most esteemed property developers, including but not limited to Berkeley, Bellway, and Crest Nicholson. Her contributions to these projects further solidified her reputation as a trusted expert in the field.

Hisham Hafez is a post-doctorate researcher specialized in performance-based environmental impact assessments of sustainable building materials currently working at the University of Leeds under the £5 M funded TransFIRe hub to model the transformation of the UK’s foundation industries to achieve the circular economy and net-zero targets by 2050. He has been recently contracted as a freelance consultant with the UKRI (United Kingdom Research Institution) as a cement and concrete industry expert to assess grant awards for relevant sustainable market solutions.
After completing his PhD in 2021, Hisham has published more than 15 peer-reviewed Q1 journal articles earning more than 230 citations to date and a research index that is within the top 15% of civil engineering researchers globally. Until joining Uni of Leeds in 2023, he worked as a lead researcher in the £10 M limestone calcined clay (LC3) project at EPFL doing more than 15 technical and environmental feasibility analyses for private cement companies globally interested in adopting the technology.
Hisham was among the core team of Karm Solar, the largest private energy provider in the MENA region, in 2013 and in 2017 he co-founded Hand Over Projects, a company that has delivered more than 10 projects for public and private clients in Egypt, varying in size but all characteristically sustainable solutions made of natural building materials.
